Approximately 24 hours after the US and Israel attacked the Islamic Regime killing Ali Khamenei, the Supreme Leader, and number of high-ranking military officials, both pro and anti-Regime cyber groups have started a campaign of cyber-attacks. In this article we look at what has happened so far.
The first reported hack was that on the first day of the war, Israel had infiltrated a widely used prayer app called “BadeSaba Calendar”, which has been downloaded more than five million times from the Google Play Store alone, and as the attacks began notifications were sent to users’ device saying “Help is on its way” and encouraging people to rise up, as can be seen in the images below:

Handala Hack
Handala Hack, affiliated with the Ministry of Intelligence, has been the most prolific group on social media since the attacks began and has announced that it has taken down all gas stations in Jordan for its betrayal and role in attacks on the country. The group also has threatened to that their attacks will continue and has specifically threatened Saudi Arabia and Israeli citizens in West Asia.
Handala have recently announced they have hacked Israel Opportunity Energy, “one of the most prominent oil and gas companies” in Israel.



Mr Soul
Mr Soul who is affiliated with the IRGC affiliated CyberAv3ngers group has announced he will be starting a campaign against those involved in attacks on Iran. It is interesting to note that he has been targeted as part of the US’s Rewards for Justice scheme for his and CyberAv3ngers role in targeting IOCONTROL systems.


IRIB hacked
There have been numerous videos published online showing that IRIB and IntelSat has been hacked and is broadcasting messages from Israeli Prime Minister, Netanyahu and US President Trump.

Dorna Iran
This anti-Regime group announced on its Telegram channel (dornairan_en) that it had released the identities of 150 personnel and employees from the Khatemolanbia HQ and said they also have a complete list of all personnel linked to IRGC military and paramilitary organizations. It is interesting to note that their address are partially redacted but the groups warns these people to put down their weapons and leave their posts otherwise their full addresses will be revealed.

A number of smaller hacking groups, detailed below, have announced they are supporting the regime.
DieNet
DieNet has announced its support for Iran and has reported it has targeted “vital Middle Eastern websites because they host US military bases”.
Cyber Isnaad Front
Cyber Isnaad Front is claiming to be targeting US and Israel infrastructure.
Hider_nex
Hider_nex has claimed to have taken down and destroyed the website belonging to Bezeq, a large Israeli telecommunications company.

NoName057
This pro-Russian group has announced its support for Iran and has claimed to have targeted a number of Israeli websites with DDoS attacks.

Cyberfeeddigest have also reported that information regarding Iran’s nuclear program and personal information of IRGC members have been posted for sale online.
